Supporting Concrete Production at Precision Ready Mix

Posted: Jul 01, 2025 in Product

In industrial environments like ready-mix concrete plants, reliable pumping systems are critical to maintaining smooth operations. Recently, two Yardmaster 18.5KW pumps with 3-metre variable height extenders were installed at Precision Ready Mix Concrete in Cambridge, New Zealand.

This installation offers a look at how tailored pumping solutions contribute to the efficiency and cleanliness of concrete production facilities.

How the Pumps Support the Plant

The two Yardmaster pumps each serve a specific role within the plant:

  • Water transfer for concrete production: The first pump moves water through the plant and into the silos where it’s used in concrete mixing. This helps ensure a consistent supply of water, essential for producing quality concrete.
  • Cleaning concrete mixer bowls: The second pump is dedicated to cleaning out the mixer bowls of the concrete trucks. Regular, efficient cleaning helps maintain equipment and reduces downtime between batches.

Both pumps are fitted with variable height extenders, allowing flexibility in positioning to suit the plant’s infrastructure.

Why These Types of Solutions Matter

Industrial concrete operations rely on equipment that can handle continuous, heavy-duty use. Pumps like these play a vital part in keeping processes running efficiently, minimising interruptions, and supporting overall plant hygiene and productivity.
